I wrote for La Voz News at De Anza College as a Staff Reporter for multiple quarters and served as Web Editor and Copy Editor for a quarter each. I earned an A.S. in Journalism with a PR Certificate before transferring to SJSU.

Budget team votes in favor of $800k quad remodel

The Instructional Planning and Budget Team voted 22-17 in favor of a $800,000 plan to remodel the E3 quad on Jan. 12. The budget includes installing 3D printing software and turning one of the classrooms into a lab.

Takeaway
Working for La Voz News was my steady creative outlet during the uncertainty of 2020–'21. While I ultimately chose not to pursue journalism, the experience played a foundational role in shaping my broader career in mass communications.
